Beaten by the final boss of Final Fantasy III
I don't know if I'm unlucky or what, but I lost to the final boss in Final Fantasy III. When I was left with just a Sage, what the hell was I supposed to do? Reviving a Dragoon got my Sage killed and then the Dragoon could only try to Pheonix Down another guy and it's pretty useless as the revived guy is killed immediately. And because of the self torturing saving system in Final Fantasy III (where you can't save in a dungeon) and the fact that during the final phase you can't save at all, I'll have to repeat the whole going through Crystal Tower, defeating Xande, 4 mini bosses, and 4 other bosses before I can battle the damn thing again.
Probably need a lot of leveling up and shurikens. And there goes a few hours wasted for nothing!

Utada Hikaru's HEART STATION

The new HEART STATION album from Utada Hikaru is really nice. My favorite Utada Hikaru album used to be first two albums (First Love and Distance). But after listening to HEART STATION for some time and then listening to First Love album, it's clear to me that I like HEART STATION better. HEART STATION is kind of back to the old style but renewed. It's more R&B than her previous two albums (which sound ethereal to me). Her voice tone is also heavier now.

Running again
I've started running again since Monday. After more than one year, of course I'm back to couch potato level. Now I have to follow
The Couch-to-5K Running Plan again, from the beginning. That will be 9 weeks before I hit my 5 km again.
Maybe RPG games should follow this formula where your characters get weaker the longer you don't play them. Not.

Macross Frontier Episode 2
Macross Frontier seems to be really really delicious. Nice animation and CG, so far interesting story, nice music, and above all, top of the line battle choreography. Hollywood has a lot to learn from this. And the crazy thing is, they have been doing these kind of works since 1980s.

Creative's PR Blunder
Sony's got a new friend from Singapore. Creative's soundcard drivers doesn't really work in Vista and somebody managed to fix it and offer it to people. But what did Creative do?
a. Get him to fix the official driver or
b. Legal action.
The answer is:
b. threaten the guy with legal action. If I were in Creative's position, I'll offer the guy a job (too bad because of Creative's action, the guy is not interested to join them). Admit it, their current developers can't handle Vista well and some smart guy CAN. The answer is obvious. By doing what they did, not only they're doing their customer disservice, it also generates very bad publicity. Remember, this is the internet age. People have louder voice.
Just another example of corporate idiocy. Good thing at least they
restored the links to the modified drivers. Not too sure if they'll withdraw the legal action. I think they will.

Citibank cuts interest rate
Finally Citibank cuts their step up interest account from 2% to 1.2%. Lucky for me I haven't moved my money there.
But this also brings an interesting question. Inflation is going up while the interest rate is going down. Something smells wrong here. And when something is wrong, there is always an opportunity. But what is it?
